Have you ever had the feeling of calmness, peace, and excitement during the same time? Well, those were the feelings I experienced while exploring the beautiful city of Sydney. As I walked on the harbor side near the famous Opera House, I could feel the calm breeze from the ocean waves blowing in my hair which was quite nice since it was the beginning of their summer (November) when I visited. Thus, having both sunshine and a calm breeze was very soothing. I absolutely enjoyed my time in Sydney and would recommend others to come explore this remarkable city!

With that being said…if you are thinking about visiting Sydney then you better prepare for great shopping, good tasting food, sightseeing and amazing excursions.

Things to do in Sydney:

-     In the center of Sydney there is a wonderful park called the Botanical Gardens which connects nicely to the leafy suburb of Paddington a few miles away.

-     You must visit Bondi Beach. It’s one of the most famous stretch of sand in the world. This glorious
1-km long sweep of golden sand, with rugged Ben Buckler at its northern end and the Bondi Icebergs to the south, is Sydney’s favorite playground, packed with swimmers, and surfers from all over the world.

-     You can’t leave Australia without seeing the amazing animals that live in Australia.  Taronga Zoo occupies a spectacular setting (75 acres) of landscaped bushland overlooking the harbor. Just above the wharf is the Sky Safari, which carries visitors up the hill, over the enclosures and terraced slopes to the lovely Edwardian Entrance Pavilion and Information Center. The center provides tour information and brochures describing the zoo’s 380 resident species and 2,200 individual animals.

-     Last, but not least, one of the many great places to see while visiting Sydney is the Powerhouse Museum. One of Sydney’s most distinguished and popular cultural institutions, the Powerhouse Museum has an extraordinary array of treasures across decorative arts and design, science, technology, space, transport and social history.
