The world is such a huge mystery with so many places to explore! A kind of mystery designed to be explored and conquered for the extreme travelers.  Coupled with historical background Morocco makes a certain place more enticing to visit first-hand and beyond word of mouth and reviews.  To see it is to believe it, some would say.

I have been to various places but I can say Morocco was truly an amazing experience. My first day I arrived in Casablanca; Casablanca is a bustling city with various entertainment and street vendors. Ironically, it reminded me of a smaller Istanbul. I only stayed in Casablanca for two days after I headed to the town of Rabat where I visited the Royal Palace and ancient ruins of Chellah. The views of the Ruins are a must see!

After Rabat I made my way to the city of Fez.  In Fez I spent the entire day visiting the Medina. The Medina is a city within Fez. The Medina is home to approximately 250,000 Moroccans. The Medina is filled with fresh fruits & spices, pure Argan oil, handmade carpets and of course leather! Yes, you can get your own handmade leather purse, shoes, belts and Jackets made. 

My last stop was in the Red City! Marrakesh! In my opinion, Marrakesh is one of the best cities in Morocco. It has great restaurants, a variety of entertainment and night life. During my stay in Marrakesh I indulged myself with listening to the rhythms in the Square (Shopping center filled with street vendors and restaurants/cafes) and watching the belly dancers at the upscale restaurant called the Taj Mahal. Marrakesh offers a host of activities ranging from live street music, horse-drawn carriage rides, belly dancing performance and historical site tours. 

I could write about Morocco all day but to be part of the entire spectacular experience you must come see it for yourself with your very own eyes!

Helpful Travel Tips when you visit Morocco

·         Most bathrooms have an attendant and they expect you to pay a small fee for toilet paper. Bring money to the bathrooms

·         Wear comfortable shoes, most tours require lots of walking

·         Bring sun glasses and scarf to cover up from the Sun while walking in the streets

·         Negotiate never accept the first offer while buying things from the street vendors

Things to do and try:

·         Try to visit Casablanca, Rabat, Fez and Marrakesh

·         Take a city tour of Casablanca and Rabat

·         Visit the Medina in Fez

·         Enjoy a dinner show with live music and belly dancers in Marrakesh

·         Don’t leave Morocco without trying Moroccan mint tea

·         Must try Moroccan Chicken Tagine (Lemon and olives)
